A good flashlight is essential at 5 in the morning!<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

We have decided not to stop in Arklow.<\/p>\n

91 nautical miles separate us from Kilmore Quay, and we cast off at 5 a.m.<\/p>\n

Tailwind at sunrise<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

A good north-easterly fills our sails and we sometimes sail up to 9 knots.<\/p>\n

The sunset sky is clouding over<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

But after about ten hours, huge clouds darken the sky and the wind abandons us.<\/p>\n

We cover the last 30 miles under engine power and we moor at 8 p.m. at Kilmore Quay<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

The late arrival deprives us of a harbor master’s office, toilets, and electricity.<\/p>\n

\"Meal<\/a>

Meal on board tonight!<\/p><\/div>\n

Happy but tired, we give up on the pub, but the take-away near the port provides us with our last Irish fish & chips<\/em>, which we eat on board.<\/p>\n

After the meal, Brexit obliges, we complete our customs formalities on the internet: because the next day, we leave for Wales<\/strong><\/em>!<\/p>\n
