Well, here we are.<\/p>\n

We get up at 6 o’clock, because there is a long way ahead.
\nEric leaves for the Sarthe<\/strong><\/em>, near Le Mans<\/strong><\/em>, as Christian and I are expected in Labrugui\u00e8re<\/strong><\/em>, in Tarn<\/strong><\/em>, each having about 5 hours to drive.<\/p>\n

The luggage is taken down from the boat with old ropes, and carried on foot to the cars.

Eric will send us a message to inform us of his arrival, as for Christian and I, we are welcomed as real heroes by my wife Gina<\/strong><\/em>, who has prepared for us\u00a0a meal worthy of an “arrival from Paris<\/em>“.<\/p>\n

What is an “arrival from Pari<\/em>s”?
\nGina is from Martinique<\/strong><\/em>, and on her native island, a family member returning from mainland France used to be welcomed with great pomp; that was what “the arrival from Paris<\/em>” was.<\/p>\n
