9:45 a.m., we round the tip of the Toulinguet<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

9:30 AM, we cast off from Camaret, destination Loctudy.<\/p>\n

Loctudy<\/strong><\/em>, a stopover unknown to us but familiar to Eric.
\nIt is located 55 nautical miles away, and we reach it in about twelve hours, which we cover partly by engine, partly by sail.<\/p>\n

The weather is changeable.<\/p>\n

On board, everyone goes about their business, no one is bored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

At the end of the navigation, a superb black and white X40<\/strong> <\/em>is on the same course as us. We boldly try to follow it, but in vain. Eric consoles me, it is a cruiser-racer<\/em>, we are not up to competing with such a ship.<\/p>\n

The rain seems to want to invite itself to accompany the end of our navigation.<\/p>\n

The Loctudy lighthouse<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

And inevitably, a magnificent storm greets our arrival in Loctudy.<\/p>\n

Our neighbor on the pontoon is none other than the X40<\/em> which arrived well before us. Its crew helps us moor, just before the Breton sky falls on our heads.<\/p>\n

The discussion quickly begins, they had also noticed this boat with blue junk sails that they had passed.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The owner has heard about junk rigs, he explains that his cousin is Bertrand Fercot<\/strong><\/em>, builder of the Wharram Grand PHA<\/strong> <\/em><\/a>catamaran, rigged as a junk with 2 wing sails, which sails around the world.<\/p>\n

Cherry on the cake, this gentleman congratulates us on the performance of Paradox, whose route he shared.
\nI am in heaven!<\/p>\n

The rain has calmed down in the port of Loctudy<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

Any desire to go out is abandoned, and we spend a now typical evening on board : beer aperitif, meal concocted by the two brothers who are our chefs, and a wild game of SkyJo<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

We also take the opportunity to video call our Irish friend Dorothy<\/em>, to keep her informed of our navigation and to remember the good times we had together.<\/p>\n
