Christian and I arrive in Soubise on August 20. The boat is due to be launched the day after tomorrow.
The bad surprise is to find that one of the service batteries is smoking. Still, we are lucky that this happens to us before we go sailing.
The next day, after buying a new battery, we pick up Bruno at La Rochelle airport. He arrives from Lyon. Éric arrives by road the same evening, from Le Mans. The crew is complete!
Bruno and Christian, two brothers full of determination, are immediately given the difficult tasks of stocking up on supplies and taking care of the on-board kitchen.
It is absolutely necessary to highlight the fact that they fulfilled this role with diligence, competence and generosity, throughout the whole expedition!
