Sunday, 29th September
Well, here we are.
We get up at 6 o’clock, because there is a long way ahead.
Eric leaves for the Sarthe, near Le Mans, as Christian and I are expected in Labruguière, in Tarn, each having about 5 hours to drive.
The luggage is taken down from the boat with old ropes, and carried on foot to the cars.
Last photo in front of Paradox, last goodbyes, curtain call!
Eric will send us a message to inform us of his arrival, as for Christian and I, we are welcomed as real heroes by my wife Gina, who has prepared for us a meal worthy of an “arrival from Paris“.
What is an “arrival from Paris”?
Gina is from Martinique, and on her native island, a family member returning from mainland France used to be welcomed with great pomp; that was what “the arrival from Paris” was.
The End…
Till next time !
