Sunday, 8th September
Today, all the boats leave the Liffey River and the city of Dublin, as soon as the Thomas Clarke Bridge opens.
On our three junks, the crews are divided up. The return trip to Malahide is different depending on the boat.
On Paradox, we head out to sea to take advantage of the wind, the boat is running well, the navigation is pleasant. We are happy to have the girls on board!
The sails of Wave Rover and Yvonne become tiny dots against the Irish coast landscape .
Finally, we all arrive in Malahide in a handkerchief.
Once at the port, Kevin invites us all to have “tea” at his place.
“Tea ?” We, French, imagine china tea cups and biscuits.
But when Yvonne welcomes us into their living room, we discover a rich selection of beers, whiskeys and other drinks, as well as a magnificent table prepared as if for a banquet.
The meal that follows, expertly composed, is of course delicious and lives up to the beautiful decoration.
Once again, we are overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of our Irish friends.
