So, we had left Le Palais<\/em> harbour on the island of Belle Ile <\/em>at 08h00, on a windless morning, after having obtained from the harbour staff not to pay for what we didn\u2019t consume.<\/p>\n Pornic<\/em> had nothing to do on our normal route to our final port of call. If you look on the map, it\u2019s completely off course.<\/p>\n But there was a reason. Rachida<\/em>, one of Karim\u2019s<\/em> aunts, one of my sisters in law by the same token, lives in Brittany. We had organized a rendez-vous<\/em> to spend the evening with her.<\/p>\n No, to be honest, there was another reason. We had given her a list of groceries that she could buy for us, since we couldn\u2019t have the opportunity to go shopping the last 2 days.<\/p>\n Ok, and to be completely honest about this passage from Belle Ile<\/em> to Pornic<\/em>, this is what I wrote in the ships log book:<\/p>\n And I am supposed to fill a web page with that laconic content.<\/p>\n Am I really? Well, we arrived in Pornic<\/em> and Karim<\/em> decided to go for a swim on the beach. The next morning would of course be a late departure, we couldn\u2019t get rid of our guest like that. \nSo here are some trivial details (and I don’t have any picture!).<\/p>\n
\nThen we got together with Rachida<\/em>, who had made all the shopping we had asked her, and more.
\nShe was excited to spend the evening on board, but I convinced her to have dinner outside, and so we did.
\nWe came back on board, and had a couple of the beers that had been\u00a0 on our shopping list, and everybody went to sleep.
\nI had left Rachida<\/em> the \u201ccaptain\u2019s suite\u201d and slept in the main cabin with Karim<\/em>.<\/p>\n
\nThere was a nice and relaxed breakfast in the cockpit, then we said good bye.<\/p>\nIt was nice to have that little family reunion… and that is all there is to remember<\/em>!<\/h3>\n
