Our new boat is <a href=\"https:\/\/leblanc.pl\/paradox_en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paradox of Plym<\/a>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/leblanc.pl\/paradox_en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this link<\/a><\/strong> will show you her adventures as we sailed from <strong>Soubise<\/strong> to <strong>Dublin<\/strong> in 2024.<\/em><\/span><\/h3>\r\n<hr \/>\r\n<p>I developped a passion for junk rigs and became a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.junkrigassociation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Junk Rig Association<\/a> (<em>the JRA<\/em>) after having &#8220;accidentally&#8221; read Eric Andlauer\u2019s translation of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thesimplesailor.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Roger Taylor<\/a>\u2019s book \u201c<strong>Ming-Ming and the Art of minimalist ocean sailing<\/strong>\u201d. At that time there was an advert in the <em>Swap, Sell or Buy<\/em> area of the JRA website, for a junk rigged schooner named China Blue. Back then, in 2017, I didn\u2019t have the money nor the time and this boat remained a recurrent dream.<\/p>\r\n<p>Last year in 2020, after my retirement and having put a little money aside, I found out China Blue had not been sold and I decided to go for it.<\/p>\r\n<h3>This site is dedicated to my acquisition of China Blue, and to the voyage that brought her from Glasgow, Scotland, via Ireland then Wales, to Soubise, on the river Charente, France.<\/h3>\r\n<hr \/>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-40\" src=\"http:\/\/leblanc.pl\/china_blue\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/20210723_093351-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n<figcaption>China Blue, first encounter in Glasgow<\/figcaption>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Please note that China Blue is no longer ours, since December 2022.
